BSB Bank Robbery - March 12, 2001
On March 12, 2001 at 10:30am, the Binghamton Savings Bank located at 273 Main Street, Binghamton, was robbed. The suspect in this robbery approached a female teller in the bank and handed her a note. The note announced the robbery and directed the teller to give the suspect money. The suspect told the teller that as long as she did what he told her to do, no one would be hurt. The suspect handed her a clear zip lock plastic bag into which she placed the money. The suspect exited the bank and was last seen running north across Main Street and between two houses. It is believed the suspect continued west to Brown Street. It is unknown if the suspect had a vehicle waiting for him. No weapon was displayed at any time during the robbery.

The suspect is described as follows:
White male, or light skinned black male wearing heavy make-up.
5' 10" tall
130-150lbs.
Mustache which appeared painted on.
Wearing what appeared to be dark, curly wig.
Clothing - Brown tweed type sport coat, beige hat, light colored jeans.

Binghamton Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for these crimes.
