Binghamton House Burglary

| On September 20, 2002, at about 1:00 PM in the afternoon, a resident of the Grandview Avenue neighborhood on Binghamtons East Side, telephoned Binghamton Police to report the burglary of his residence. Entry to the home may have been gained through an unlocked window. The total value of property stolen was $14,090.00, and consisted of a wide variety of goods. Some of the property consisted of 15 antique pocket watches dating from 1870 to 1920; 100 silver dollars all dated in the 1800s; 1 Hamilton watch which notes a 25 year anniversary at Kroehlers Manufacturing; 1 Elgin gold watch; a very unique 14 carat gold bracelet with 60-80 diamonds around it and a broken safety clasp; an antique clock for an antique automobile and a Pentax 35mm camera. Some of the antique pocket watches were the style used by railroad conductors. |
Also taken was a DeWalt drill, Simmons binoculars, George Foreman grill, 20 DVD Movies, a short-wave radio and various tools. Binghamton Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for these crimes. |
