Kenneth L. Combs On June 24, 2002 a local deliveryman took an order of goods to a Binghamton residence. The deliveryman accepted a check in the amount of $229.00 from an individual at the residence for payment of the items delivered. The check was drawn on the Sidney Federal Credit Union business account of an Endwell company. The deliveryman believed the individual had the authority to issue the check and he therefore accepted it . About a month later, the company that made the delivery to the residence was notified by the Credit Union that the check was a stolen and forged check. The Credit Union advised that the check had been stolen two years earlier. The subsequent investigation by the Binghamton Police Department revealed that the individual who wrote the check was a Kenneth L. Combs. Attempts to locate Combs were unsuccessful. As a result, on August 9, 2002 ,Binghamton City Court Judge John T. Hillis issued a Warrant of Arrest for Combs, charging him with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second degree, a Class D Felony. Combs remains at large and has not been arrested on the warrant. Combs is described a male, black, birthdate March 6, 1963, 56" in height, 130 pounds in weight, black hair. His last known address was 30 Edwards Street, Binghamton or 4 Brook Avenue, Binghamton. Binghamton Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for these crimes. |
