Thomas Ruiz Case

On September 1, 2001 at approximately 11:00pm, Thomas Ruiz, age 60, of Binghamton was found injured and unconscious at the corner of Gates Street and Conklin Avenue in the City of Binghamton. Mr. Ruiz later died as a result of his injuries. An autopsy indicates that Mr. Ruiz was probably punched in the face and then fell, hitting his head. Police are unsure exactly where the assault occured, but it was either at the corner where Mr. Ruiz was found, or in close proximity.

Binghamton Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for these crimes.

The family of Mr. Ruiz is offering an additional $15,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
