Binghamton, Armed Robbery

In the early morning hours of January 1, 2002, a 28 year old Binghamton man was walking in the area of Chenango Street at Munsell Street, Binghamton, New York, when he was confronted by a male who approached him on foot. The male asked the man if he wanted to purchase some drugs. After responding that he did not want to purchase drugs, the man attempted to walk away from the male. At this point, the male reached into his jacket and pulled out what appeared to be a knife. The male put the knife to the throat of the man and ordered him to hand over his money. Frightened, the man complied by removing $32.00 from his pocket and giving it to the male. The male then fled the area on foot, last seen walking east on Munsell Street towards Liberty Street. The victim was uninjured in this incident.

The suspect is described as a Male, black, age in late twenties, 5’6" tall, approximately 170 pounds in weight; black hair pulled back into corn rows; goatee; and silver teeth. He was last seen wearing a black and silver "Raiders" jacket. The suspect may go by the street name of " Face".

Binghamton Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for these crimes.
