On Wednesday, April 2, 2003, the Charter One Bank located at 247 Main Street, Binghamton, New York, was robbed. At 9:16 AM, on that date, a man entered the bank and approached a bank teller at her window. The man handed the teller a note which demanded money. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash. After receiving the money, the man turned around and walked away from the teller and out the door of the bank.

It is unknown in what direction the man went once outside the bank, or if he fled the area on foot or in a vehicle. No one was injured in this incident. The suspect is described as a white male, 25 years of age, 6’0", medium build, blue or green eyes, dark hair ( brown or black ), thin mustache and about a day old beard. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with writing on the front of it, black leather jacket, blue jeans and black boots.
