Binghamton Crime Stoppers Current Cases

West Side Burglary, Binghamton, NY

Sometime between the hours of noon on Saturday, February 14, 2004, and 10:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2004, a burglary took place at a home on the west side of Binghamton, New York. The home, located in the Park Street, Grand Boulevard area was being renovated by a Brackney , Pennsylvania contractor, and was unoccupied during the previously mentioned time frame.

Entry to the home was gained by forcing open the front door, which faces the street. Once inside the burglar(s) had access to the many tools and supplies that the contractor had left on the job site.

One neighbor to the home remembered hearing noise at the home late that Saturday afternoon, but thought it was the work crew. Another neighbor observed an individual sitting on a bicycle in the driveway of the home just before dark that same day. The individual was, according to the witness, looking around and acting very suspiciously.

Taken in the burglary were many expensive tools, totaling over $5,500.00. Those tools are as follows:
3 - coil framer Bostich air guns; 4 - coil roofing Bostich air guns; 2 - Hitachi Felt nailers; 1 - Dewalt screw gun; 1 - Dewalt radio charger; 1 - Dewalt circular saw; 1 - workbelt with tools; 1 - Dewalt air compressor and 1 - Dewalt slider saw.

The individual observed in the driveway is described as a white, male, wearing an olive colored coat and a black winter hat.

Binghamton Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for these crimes.
