VPD Town Square Mall Grand Larceny

Vestal Police Department has determined that the pictured individual is the only suspect associated with this case. The other individual and van originally presented are not involved with this case.
Original Case
On Tuesday, June 7, 2005, a Grand Larceny / Purse Snatching occurred in Vestal, New York. At about 10:30 AM on that date, a purse was stolen from a shopping cart which was in the parking lot of the Town Square Mall in the vicinity of Wal-Mart. Property in the purse included several credit cards.
At about 11:00 AM, that same morning, one of the stolen credit cards was fraudulently used in Endicott, New York. This incident occurred at the Manley’s Mighty Mart store which is located at the intersection of Main Street and Vestal Avenue. The suspect using the stolen credit card is a white male, large build, short dark colored hair, wearing a “Hooters” shirt and eyeglasses. He has a distinctive tattoo on his left shoulder. Pictures of the suspect have been developed from surveillance equipment at the store.
A very short while later, at about 11:08 AM, the victim’s stolen credit card was again used. This took place at the Quickway Store, located at the intersection of Main Street and Washington Avenue, Endicott. The Quickway is several blocks east of the Manley’s store. In this incident, the card was used by another suspect. That suspect is described as a white male. Pictures of this suspect were developed from store security video.
Additionally, the vehicle used by the suspects was recorded on the security footage. The vehicle appears to be an older model Ford Aerostar van, two tone in color, with the passenger side front hub cap missing.
