BPD Fugitive Brian A. Peterson

SOLVED

On the morning of Sunday, October 9, 2005, a domestic violence incident occurred on the west side of Binghamton, New York. At about 7:20 AM on that date, a 25 year old Helen Street woman was asleep in her apartment bedroom, when she was suddenly awakened by knocking on the window. The woman arose to find an ex-boyfriend - Brian A. Peterson standing there. Peterson was in direct violation of an Order of Protection, issued by Binghamton City Court, which forbade him from having any contact whatsoever with the woman, and further ordered that he was to stay away from her residence.
The woman had a male guest in the apartment, and when Peterson spotted him through the window, he went into a rage. Peterson attempted to force an air conditioner from the window, in an effort to gain entry into the apartment. At this point the woman went outside and confronted Peterson. Peterson began throwing the woman around, slamming her against the house. While throwing her around he also spat in her face. The woman was able to break away from Peterson, and fled to the rear of a nearby house. Peterson, in the meantime, went to the front door of the woman’s apartment and began kicking it. He eventually made entry into the apartment, looking for the male guest he had spotted from the window. Unable to locate him, Peterson exited the apartment through the back door.
The woman, while hiding from Peterson, called Binghamton Police. Officers immediately responded to the scene, but Peterson had fled the area.
A search of the area for Peterson was unsuccessful. Continued efforts to locate Peterson over the next few days were also to no avail.
On October 11, 2005, Binghamton City Court Judge Mary Ann Lehman issued a Warrant of Arrest for Peterson, charging him with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, a Felony; Criminal Trespass Second Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree. Peterson has never been arrested on that Warrant, and remains at large at this time.
Brian Anthony Peterson is described as a white male, 26 years old, born on May 10, 1979, 6 ’0” tall, 250 pounds, black hair, brown eyes. His last known address is 18 Oliver Street, Binghamton.
Peterson has an extensive Criminal History.

BINGHAMTON CRIME STOPPERS IS OFFERING A REWARD OF UP TO $1,000.00 FOR INFORMATION WHICH LEADS TO THE ARREST AND INDICTMENT OF THE SUSPECT IN THIS CASE.
